If you're looking for a place to get a flu shot, there's a good chance your local pharmacy's immunization program has what you need. But as you'll see, some pharmacies may have better flu shot prices and deals than others.

In this article, I'm going to show you some major grocery and pharmacy chains offering flu shot deals as of September 2021.

I called each chain to confirm their flu shot deals and prices.

For the latest information, call the pharmacy in your area to inquire about specific prices.

No matter what the quoted price is, you should always ask the pharmacy about any qualifying coupons before you pay for your flu shot. Whether the pharmacy supplies you with a coupon or not, the price may not be able to beat this GoodRx coupon.

Now let's look at what these major chains say you'll pay for a flu shot at their pharmacies.

Free flu shot deal at Albertsons

If you have health insurance, getting a flu shot at Albertsons will likely be free.

The grocer also offers 10% off a grocery purchase up to $200 with any immunization. For this deal, restrictions apply; call your local Albertsons pharmacy for details.

An Albertsons pharmacy member told me that, without insurance, you'll pay around $25 for a flu shot.

Costco's logo

Flu vaccines may be free with your health insurance, according to a Costco pharmacist. Otherwise, members pay $19.99 and non-members pay $24.99, the pharmacist confirms. Book your appointment online.

Customers can get free flu shots at Kroger depending on their insurance coverage. Without insurance, the price runs anywhere between $40 and $60, according to a Kroger pharmacist.

Publix flu shot

Your flu shot at Publix should be free with most insurance plans, according to Publix. Without insurance you'll pay around $50, a Publix pharmacist confirmed to me.

About the $10 Gift Card Offer

Publix used to offer a $10 gift card with your flu shot, but in 2021, that is no longer the case. "We don't do that this year because of COVID," the pharmacist says.

Target flu shot deal includes $5 off a $20 purchase

Target is another place where you can get a free flu shot with insurance. You can get a $5 off $20 coupon if you get your flu shot at a pharmacy inside of a Target store.

CVS Health operates Target's pharmacies. A CVS Target pharmacist tells me that the flu shot without insurance will cost about $25.

Walgreens free flu shot

Walgreens offers free flu shots with most insurance. Without it, the cost of a flu shot is about $42, according to a Walgreens pharmacist.

The pharmacy chain recommends that you call a location in your area to determine exact availability and price.
