Cape Cod Healthcare Urgent Care In Falmouth Closed - CapeNews.net

Cape Cod Healthcare Urgent Care at 273 Teaticket Highway in Falmouth will be closed until further notice, Cape Cod Healthcare posted on its website on Tuesday, March 31.

"For any urgent medical needs please visit the Falmouth Hospital Emergency Department or Stoneman Urgent Care in Sandwich," the announcement said.

In a call with media Tuesday, Michael K. Lauf, Cape Cod Health Care's president and chief executive officer, said Falmouth's urgent care center had seen fewer than 12 patients per day in recent weeks.

"We were seeing very few patients, which showed that our strategies to keep people safe at home have worked. We found that we needed the urgent care center's services in our emergency centers. Also, the less exposure you get in these settings, the better it is for you," Mr. Lauf said, adding that the urgent care center will reopen once the COVID-19 crisis ends.

The organization's other urgent care centers will remain open.
